4 Beaches To Escape To!

It’s great to explore cities and visit monuments but sometimes you just need to feel the sun on your body and sand between your toes…
Wanna discover 5 beaches you’ll immediately want to escape to? Read on.

Anjuna Beach, Goa, India

Set on the west coast of India, Anjuna beach is a hot spot for tourists. Although it is much quieter than other beaches in the state you will still find plenty of people enjoying themselves. Surrounded by restaurants and night clubs, Anjuna is the perfect relaxation-destination! Spend your days lounging on the beach and swimming in the waves, whilst partying the night away. Spend two weeks here and you won’t ever want to leave!

Jom Tiem Beach, Pattaya, Thailand

15 minutes drive from Pattaya Central is Jom Tiem. The province is very similar to Pattaya but just taken down a notch or…three. A haven for eating and drinking alike, in Jom Tiem you can also enjoy a long walk along the beach front, grab a coffee and watch the world go by or just sun yourself until your hearts content! The choice is yours. This is a great location to enjoy a relaxing holiday!

Trincomalee Beach, Sri Lanka

On Sri Lanka’s east coast you will find Trincomalee beach, this place is a haven. We visited during the tourism recession in the country and found ourselves surrounded by a handful of other tourists, but in it’s prime this is one of the most popular coastal destinations in the country.

Unlike some of the other beaches listed, this destination is a lot less party focused. Here you can relax and unwind under clear blue skies whilst the sun bathes your body during the day and enjoy a nice meal at night before getting cosy with a good book.

After two weeks here you’ll be rested and rejuvenated!

Varkala Beach, Kerala, India

Accessible via Varkala Cliff, Varkala beach is the only beach we didn’t actively participate in sunbathing on. Just a few minutes walk from most of the popular accommodation in Varkala, the beach is a great place to hang out and catch some rays.

Wake up early to take a morning swim and enjoy your afternoon kicking back in one of the many lovely restaurants with a good read.

Spend a few days to a week here before heading up north towards the hustle and bustle of central India!
